This Sunday at 330 p.m., Atletico Madrid will host Barcelona in a match where more then three points are at stake. Earlier in the season, Barca rocked Madrid's lesser known team with a score of 5-0. The score actually seems closer that it was.
Colombian international Radamel Falcao was silenced throughout the entire match only months after winning the Europa League with FC Porto, a tournament in which he scored 18 goals to win the honors in that particular competition.
New signing Cesc Fabregas along with Lionel Messi simply mesmerized the Atletico 11. Even with the introduction of Arda Turan in the second half, they were no match for the reigning Spanish and Champions League number one side.
Sunday at the Vicente Calderon stadium in the nations capital, Madrid, Atletico will look to continue Barca's poor road form by avenging that loss and grabbing all three points in front of their home crowd.
Last week, Barca erased Valencia's early 1-0 lead by scoring five unanswered for the 5-1 victory. The first four goals were scored by none other than Lionel Messi and the fifth and final goal by substitute Xavi Hernandez at the Camp Nou in Barcelona. The week before however, Barca lost out 3-2 at Osasuna, a team they defeated 8-0 only a year ago.
Anything could happen in any given football (soccer) game but this match will have Atletico heading into the game with motivation and possibly momentum on their side. Their home crowd could give them the push they need to defeat one of the two hottest teams in the league right now. However, Barca will want to build on their 5-1 victory from last week against the third best side in Valencia by getting a win on the road.
This time around, Falcao is in a better run of form and Arda Turan has a better feel for the Spanish game. Instead of going in with nerves, they need to step up like men and play as if their lives are on the line. This is the mighty Barcelona. They are the reigning UCL (European 1st league) champions and reigning La Liga champions for the past three years running. EVen though they sit 10 points behind Real Madrid, thyere are still 15 games left on the schedule and anything is possible. No team has ever come back from ten a ten point deficit with 15 games left to dramatically lift the title. However, if any team can do it, surely it is Barcelona. That is something Real Madrid can not let happen as they have been league title hungry for the past three years.

Trabzon destroyed and Besiktas spared.
Turkish clubs Besiktas and Trabzonspor played the final of two legs in their round of 32 clashes against Braga and PSV Eindhoven respectively. One side advanced while the other was unfortunately humbled.
Trabzonspor traveled to Holland to face Dutch giants PSV and needed two goals to stay alive in the tie. However, even after losing the home leg 2-1 in Trabzon, the Turks found themselves in a hole towards the end of the first half going down 3-0 before Burak Yilmaz scored one to head into the break down two.
Right at the bring of halftime, Trabzon keeper Tolga Zengin was ejected from the game. Not only were they down 3-1 in the game and 5-2 on aggregate, they went down a man as well.
Just seven minutes in to the second half, Tim Matavs scored his second of the game to end any hopes of a comeback in an enthralling 4-1 victory making it 6-2 over the two legs. Trabzon will have to wait until next year to try again on a European adventure.

NFL Week 7 Review
NFL Week 7 Review
Week 7 in the National Football League was dull due to the fact that various popular teams around the league were on their bye week. The Tim Tebow era was the most talked about issue heading into week 7. Usually, a Bronco- Dolphin game would not even create any buzz within the football world. During the majority of the game, Tebow looked confused and lost on the field. The Dolphins defense did an admirable job of creating pressure on Tebow due to the fact that his throwing release is so slow. I turned the channel from that game assuming that The Miami Dolphins have finally won a game this season.
I was mistakenly wrong because I forgot the Dolphins are the laughing stock of the AFC East. Tebow engineered a historic fourth quarter comeback to give the Broncos their second win of the season. Tebow threw 27 passes with only 13 being caught for completions. His quarterback rating was a mediocre 91.7, and he looked more like a fullback than a quarterback during that game. The one part of Tebow’s game you can fault is his will to win. He may not be the prettiest and most accurate quarterback in the world, but all he ever does in win football games. I’m interested in seeing how he will do against a mean and tough Detroit Lions defense this upcoming Sunday.
In the Meadowlands this past Sunday, The New York Jets came back from a 10 point halftime deficit to defeat the San Diego Chargers. The Jets finally incorporated wide out Plaxico Burress into their offensive game plan. Burress finished the game with three huge touchdown receptions. The Jets running game got a much need boost at the hands of starting tailback Shonn Greene. Green carried the ball 20 times for an impressive 120 yards. The Jets are heading into their bye week with a great win against a disappointing San Diego team. The Chargers are so disappointing to the point that I really believe that Norv Turner should be terminated of his head coaching duties. The play calling during the last two minutes were comical, and I have no idea what kind of coaching that was. Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers has digressed to a point where he was been placed outside of the discussion of the best quarter backs in professional football. I just don’t see the fire in Rivers anymore, and I use to be an extremely big fan of Rivers game.
The Baltimore Ravens was horrible against The Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football. The Ravens starting quarterback Joe Flacco is not the answer at that position. When you go 21 for 38 against a one win team, you are not ready to play against the big boys in The NFL. I was never really high on Flacco’s quarterback ability, but Monday’s game downgraded him to the basement of NFL quarterbacks. The Ravens are trying to win a SuperBowl this season for the second time in eleven years. I guarantee they will not win the big game with Joe Flacco at quarterback.

Interview with Kyrie Irving
Ladies and gentlemen, you are in for a special treat this week as NateReySports brings to you an exclusive interview with Kyrie Irving by our very own Nathaniel Cooke Jr.
Naterey sports sat down with Cleveland Cavalier star Kyrie Irving to better understand what fuels this great guard from West Orange, New Jersey. Irving also discusses the value he places on hard work and education. The humble star was a pleasure to interview, and I know he will do great in the National Basketball Association.
Irving is always on the road preparing for his startup season in the National Basketball Association. While he is away from his home state, I was curious about his process of maintaining his hair?
“I make it a point to come home every month to get my hair cut because Fresh the barber always does an incredible job on my head. So every month, I make it my priority to get home and pay Fresh the barber a visit”.
NC: Where are you originally from?
Irving: I was born in Australia, and I moved to Newark, New Jersey when I was a child. I later moved to West Orange after my stay in Newark.
NC: What age did you fall in love with the game of basketball?
Irving: I would have to say it was in the sixth grade when I knew I wanted to play the game of basketball.
NC: What do you say to young kids that inspire to play in the NBA?
Irving: Maintaining a high work ethic, and appreciate the game. My dad always helped me to understand how imperative the lessons from the game of basketball had to do with lessons in life.
NC: What are you doing while The National Basketball Association is in a lockout?
Irving: I workout in Miami, Florida with other NBA players, and I’m also attending classes at Duke University.
NC: That’s great that you are still attempting to pursue your education
Irving: Yes most definitely, education has and will always be a major priority in my life
NC: What do you think you can bring to The Cleveland Cavalier Franchise?
Irving: I think I can bring great focus and drive to the franchise. I want to be a great player in this league, and only being 19 years of age, I want to learn as much as I can about the game. I want to make the Cavaliers a contender on a yearly basis.

Jets Win Again; Improve to 4-3
Jets win again after epic comeback
The NY Jets are now 4-3 after defeating the San Diego Chargers this past Sunday 27-21. The faced an early scare as they trailed by over ten points, but the team played together and came up with an impressive victory.
During the third quarter, NY was down 21-10. This was partly due to the fact that the ref had called back a touch down they had scored in the first quarter. It looked like it was going to be a game lost thanks to the ref. However, the Jets are better than that, and they proved it.
They slowly but surely came back, scoring to make it 21-17, then 24-17, and finally adding a three point field goal to cement the victory with a score of 27-21. It was well-deserved in the end and the boys finally showed hope of a revival.
The started out with a 2-0 record, then lost three straight. Now they have won two games in a row and boast a 4-3 record. The Bills and Patriots still have a better record but there is still hope for the NY outfit. The Pats are 5-1 while the Bills are 4-2.
The Jets travel to Buffalo in two weeks for their game during Week 9 as Week 8 is their Bye week. If the Jets win that game, they will improve to 5-3 while the Bills will drop to 4-3. It will be a very important match-up for NY.
Ironically, the week after the Bills, the Jets will get their rematch against the Pats at home, who narrowly defeated them 30-21 in New England on October 9th.
The importance of these two games cannot be stressed enough. They are both in the Jets division and it is about more than bragging rights. The Jets need to win both games to fight for the lead in the division.
Brady is playing extremely well for his Patriots and the Bills are experiencing a few lows especially after losing out to the Giants a week ago. Sanchez needs to throw good TD passes and the rest of his crew need to step up their game big time.
New York has a rough division and there is no doubt about that. Sure the Miami Dolphins are having a bad year this season, but the Bills and Pats are no walk in the park. If the Jets want to make the wildcard/play-offs, they need to come up with victories against two of their fiercest rivals.
They have a week to practice, relax, and mentally prepare for the Bills. This is their one and only bye week of the season so they should use it well. If there is a good game to watch next Sunday, it is certainly the one from Buffalo between the Bills and NY Jets. Enjoy the game, stay tuned.

Week 6 of the NFL
NFL Week 6 Review
I have to start off by discussing the Patriots-Cowboys game that was played this past Sunday. The head coach of the Cowboys, Jason Garrett, showed the world that he has lost all confidence in his starting quarterback Tony Romo. The play calling from the Dallas sideline was hilarious because it seemed like they played hoping not to lose instead of attempting to win the game. Tony Romo statistically had a superior game to Tom Brady, but in the end Brady showed why his name will be engraved into Canton, Ohio one day. I have to give Romo credit due to the fact that he only threw one interception during the entire game. Throughout the game, both Romo and Brady threw 41 passes with 27 being thrown for completions. The Patriots defense didn’t look like championship caliber, and that will cost them during the playoffs. There is no way that the Pats can win a title with a defense that ranks dead last.
I have to show some love to the Cincinnati Bengals and their surprising 4-2 start to the season. I know what you guys are thinking, “Why in the world would the Bengals be talked about during a review?” You have to give credit to the Bengals because they are only half a game back from first place in the very tough AFC Central division. Quarterback Andy Dalton has not played like a rookie, and I bet the NY Jets would love to have him over the inconsistent Mark Sanchez. The Bengal defense has gotten the job done this year, and they are ranked 8th in the NFL in total defense. If Panthers star quarterback Cam Newton wasn’t in the picture, we would all be talking about stud Bengal wide out AJ Green as the offensive rookie of the year. I’m not saying that the Bengals will make the playoffs, but they do deserve some recognition for a very surprising and impressive start.
In Detroit last Sunday, the 49ers handed the Lions their first loss of the season. The team from the bay area gave other teams the blueprint on how to beat the Lions. The 49ers punched the Lions in the mouth, and were extremely physical with them throughout the ball game. The most underrated back in all of football--Frank Gore--ran all over the Lions defense and finished the game with 141 yards on the ground. 49ers head man Jim Harbaugh has the 49ers believing that they can have a dominating and memorable season this year. Starting quarterback Alex Smith has played a lot better than people have given him credit for. He has only thrown two picks for the season thusfar, and he has learned the importance of controlling and not losing the game for your team. The scuffle that occurred between Jim Schwartz and Jim Harbaugh was comical, and I thought that it was imperative to see two coaches get into it after a highly competitive game.

Jets finally Snap a 3 game Skid After 24-6 Rout of Dolphins
After three long years of home losses to the Miami Dolphins, the NY Jets finally realized it was the right time to defeat their rivals, especially after three straight losses in the season. At first it seemed a bit tricky as the Jets only led 7-6, but Mark Sanchez’s run-in touchdown led his Jets to a remarkable victory.
The Dolphins were able to stop the Jets on an easy touchdown drive as Nick Folk had to score a field goal to add the three deserved points to the Jets score line. However, it was Darrelle Revis who stole the headlines.
The defensive player picked off a pass and ran the ball in for a 100 yard touchdown, scoring his first points of the season. It was a remarkable drive that led to an even larger Jets lead.
The final score of the game was 24-6 which finally enabled the Jets to snap their 3 game losing streak. After starting out the season at 2-0, they dropped to 2-3 until last night when they leveled their amount of wins/losses. It took them a while to do it, but they did it against an opponent who had beaten them for the past three straight years on home soil.
Sunday the Jets will host a San Diego side that has a 4-1 record. The Jets need to jump up to 4-3 to keep up with their division rivals in the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots, so they have to win at home. It will not be easy as the Chargers have that record for good reasoning, but Sanchez needs to put on a good show like he did last night to lead his team to victory.
Rex Ryan coached a great game last night in which his team did not allow their opponents to do much. It could be that Miami have given up on the season as they now have a 0-6 record. However, that shouldn’t be the case as they fiercely rival the Jets. It was a good way for the Jets to bounce back from their last three disappointing results.

However, that shouldn’t be the case as they fiercely rival the Jets. It was a good way for the Jets to bounce back from their last three disappointing results.
It will be an intriguing game that begins at 1:00 p.m. eastern in New Jersey in which both sides will not want to lose this one. Revis will have to be special on defense as the Chargers carry that name for the reason being that they are tough. It will be an exciting game so anyone who is a Jets fan should sit down and enjoy.

NFL Week 5...Surprise Surprise
NFL Week 5
Week 5 in the NFL was very exciting, and unpredictable. I am going to start this week’s edition discussing the Bills and Eagles game last Sunday because the Eagles look like undisciplined team on both sides of the ball. The Eagles defense is a complete joke, and every team has been able to throw and run the ball effectively against the boys from Philadelphia. Michael Vick tied a career high with four interceptions on Sunday, but the receivers are the one to blame for the interceptions, not Vick. Eagles wide out Jason Avant allowed two balls to be taken away by Bills defensive backs during two separate crucial segments of the game. The play calling for the Eagles have to be placed into heavy questioning because they have the tendency to completely abandoned the run during portions of football games. I think that the Buffalo Bills are a major player in the AFC, and they are only going to improve during the duration of the regular season. The defense in Buffalo reminds me of The New Orleans Saints defense from 2010 because both are not great, but they have the ability to get key turnovers in key spots.
The New York Giants and Jets were very disappointing during week 5. The New York Giants were unable to find their running game against an inferior Seattle Seahawks football team. Giant’s quarterback Eli Manning threw for over 400 hundreds yards, but three interceptions seemed to have discredited the great feat. The Giants have to learn how to be a consistent football team if they want to be considered a legitimate contender for The Super bowl. The New York Jets were unable to stop their losing skid in Foxboro due to the fact that they are highly overrated. The Jets defense allowed Patriots tail back B Green- Ellis run all over them for a total of 136 yards. The Jets offense didn’t play much better, and I am starting to wonder if Mark Sanchez is the right quarterback to lead the Jets to the promise land which is a NFL championship.
The Detroit Lions has placed everyone on notice that they are a dangerous and lethal team. During their first Monday night game since 2001, the Lions dominated the Bears improving their record to 5-0 on the season. The Bears came out firing on offense, but the Lions showed that no one has yet found a formula to defeat them. This team can beat you in so many ways on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. I can’t wait to Thanksgiving Day when The Green Bay Packers visit Detroit in a heavy weight extravaganza that should be classic.

In a game where Tom Brady and his Patriots were expected to demolish the Jets, they did win, but NY may have been able to make an epic come back.
Brady through for over 300 yards and his offense as well as defense were absolutely phenomenal. They handed the Jets their third straight loss after beginning the season at 2-0. Some would argue that it should have been 1-1.
The Cowboys were in control of the Jets in the season opener a month ago on September 11, but the Jets put their hearts and souls on the line to make an unforgettable comeback to rise to victory. During the following week, they crushed the Jaguars. After those two victories to start the season, it has been all downhill.
Coach Rex Ryan of the Jets admitted that next Monday night’s game at home against the Miami Dolphins is simply a must win. They have to win that game to jump up to a 3-3 record as the Bills and Pats are both at 4-1. Both sides are in the Jets’ division.
The Jets need to turn their season completely around in order to be able to even sniff the play-offs. Mark Sanchez was decent in his first two seasons, but now he is playing like an average rookie. He needs to step up and lead his team. Also, instead of cursing every two minutes, Rex Ryan needs to calm down and teach his team how to play some smart football.
